Today was a quieter day; a few visits from friends and family and quite a bit of dozing off. We all went on a walking adventure to the 7th floor solarium for a good view of the lake.
Dad's brother & sisters have all been up to see him this week, along with my cousins Tim, Shellee and Renee. It's been really neat to see them, even though it's been under bad circumstances.
We had hoped he could go home today, but there were several scafuffles with trying to figure out the best way to set up home care. The upshot is that he'll be coming home tomorrow, on hospice. Everyone here has been great, but it will be wonderful to have him out of the hospital.

Dale, Amy, and Angie, I am glad to see a web page so we can keep in touch. Thanks Angie for doing it.
Dale, you have been such a blessing to my family. Leading Tom to the Lord, Having Bible studies with Randy, and of course coming back to do Vicki and Tom's Wedding in 1982.
Every since I hard you were sick, God had put in my mind the song, "Thamk you for giving to the Lord" I am so glad and blessed that you gave to the Lord through my family.
I love you all and will continue to pray for each of you.

Thank you for doing this blog. I'm a friend of Katie's (Amy's daughter), and my church, family, and I are praying a lot for Dale.
It's good to read the updates though I am so sad that the cancer and discomfort are continuing. Please know that Dale is held up in so many hearts daily. I pray that God will bless you each with peace, strength, courage, faith, and hope. I pray that all of these comforts would be renewed daily for you each too.
Dear Dale and Amy,
We so appreciated our time with you last month. It was such a nice day. We are thinking and praying for you often. Angie, we are thankful for this page that you are doing to keep us informed about how you Dad is doing. Amy, give Dale a special hug from us. You are on our minds and in our prayers daily.

I loved singing that song with you, Dale. My heart grieves at what you are suffering now, and the selfish thought of not singing it with you again in this life.
Praying for you,

Dear Dale, Amy and Angie,
I was praying for you this morning as I was walking.... that the Lord would give you the peace that passes all understanding; that Amy would sense His presence in a special way and have the courage and strength to face the future. Thankyou Angie, for the wonderful chronicle you have put together of the difficult time your family has been going through. Your love and compassion for your Dad and Amy came through, clearly. For a non-medical person, you did a great job! My heart grieves for you; I experienced something similar with John's illness. Thankyou Dale, for the faithful friend you were to the "Channer men". We were indeed blessed to have known you. Love, Jessie Channer
Dale, I just feel very strongly that I need to share this with you guys. You and I talked about the health problems I'm going through. Someone told me recently about something called glyconutrients.I'm excited about the studies and testimonies, and am going to try it. Could this be the miricle we're looking for? I know your practical side, dale, and that you aren't going to just jump on the bandwagon. So I'm going to leave you with just one of many unbelievable testimonies I've read.....A guy with cancer and only 6 or so days to live, started taking large doses of micronutrients, was heald and is healthy today. I hope you know me well enough, that I wouldn't send you something like this without any research or reputable proof. Ifelt like god wanted me to tell you and let you decide what to do with it. If you want to know more, you know how to get ahold of me. Love Annie
Dear Dale,
I am still hoping to come and visit, I have been following your progress. I wanted to let you know how much you mean to our family.
You entered our lives at a pivotal time in our family, as we were returning from Africa and trying to adjust to the US once again.
Your christ-centered example was a great witness to me and certainly was the stimulus to re-focus my life in a Godly direction. You provided a stable platform and refuge by introducing me to the world of hunting and fishing. We still reminisce(sp?) about the deerhunting stories and how you dropped me in the creek the first time you took me trout fishing!
You will never know what an impact you have had on our lives. I will keep your spirit with me always.
God has continued to bless us here in Missoula. My practice in Hip and knee replacement is going very well, Nan has been such a blessing in my life, and our two girls, Sydney(6) and Olivia(4) are learning to love God and love the mountains of MT. We went for a 12 mile trail ride today on our horses and they loved it.
Dale so long for now, We pray for you and Amy daily.
Mark
Dale and Amy, Just adding our prayers to the many already made on your behalf. We miss you. Lou sure enjoyed the many times he was able to go to the farm hunting with you. Our boys are all growing in to men - Jeremy is in the Air Force, Jamie will be teaching his first year this fall, and Jon and Kelly are doing well and expecting their first baby this fall. God is still full of miracles. We send you our love and prayers. Lou and Lois Barrett
Dear Dale and Amy,
Please know that we continue to hold both of you very close to our hearts. I will never get tired of telling others how the Lord worked through Dale to bring us back to him. I am so very grateful for the solid foundation that you gave my family when you performed our church wedding. The countless lessons that you taught us - some you may not have even been aware of. It is your example and your inspiration that allows me to get through the "stinky things" in life -your illness being one of the "stinkiest". I know God brings people into our life for a purpose and my family feels so blessed to have known both Amy and yourself.
We love you both and will continue to Pray for you.
